Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Macedonia - The First 50 Years, 1968-2017
This lecture shows what the first 50 years of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence research and development in Macedonia has produced, and how they affect the world. Achievements in those areas are listed chronologically, ranking them from pioneering to ordinary. Examples of pioneering achievements that are covered are: introduction of transfer learning in neural networks (1976), solving the reinforcement learning with delayed rewards (1981), control of robots using speech commands (1986), control of robots using brain potentials (1988), and EEG emulation of control circuits for brain-computer interface (2006), among others.

Lecturer:

Adrijan Božinovski has been a member of Mensa Macedonia since 2006. He has served in all of its steering offices from 2009 to 2023, including that of an Interim President from 2014 to 2017. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb and is currently a Professor of Computer Science at the Faculty of Informatics at the American University of Europe in Skopje. He published a book titled "Anticipatory Brain Potentials and Brain-Robot Interface"
