International Projects Shaping the Future of Montenegro's National Parks
How can international cooperation help protect nature, strengthen local communities, build institutional capacities, and prepare protected areas for future challenges?

Through its participation in European and regional initiatives, the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro has become an active partner in projects that promote innovation, sustainability, knowledge exchange, and institutional capacity building. From climate resilience and biodiversity conservation to sustainable tourism, green mobility, and digital solutions, these projects create opportunities to develop and implement new approaches to the management of protected areas, while also supporting the sustainable improvement of local infrastructure and services.

This presentation will explore how international projects contribute to the modernization of national park management by fostering cooperation with European institutions and partners, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices, and supporting broader regional development and environmental protection goals. Through practical examples and project experiences, participants will gain insight into how cooperation and innovation are helping shape a more sustainable future for Montenegro's National Parks.
