The attachment – bridge between childhood and adulthood
We will talk about the ways of forming the relationships, and how the relationship with our parents affects our relationships in adulthood. The lecture will introduce the concept of attachment and attachment styles. Special attention will be given to John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, whose work made a significant contribution to the development of attachment theory. We will also discuss the concept of the internal working model, family and partner attachment and how different styles reflect on later life.

The lecture will include research finding and practical examples. Participants will be encouraged to investigate their own attachment style.
