The Eagle's Song of Pride and Honor: Spirit and Tradition of Montenegro
We invite you to discover the richness of our country's tradition together with us.
During the workshop, through stories, images, and practical activities, we will learn about old customs, traditional costumes, and folk dances that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Special attention will be devoted to the Montenegrin national costume, which is recognizable for its elegance and symbolism. We will talk about the meaning of its colors and details, as well as the occasions on which the costume was worn – at weddings, celebrations, and other important events.
We will also have the opportunity to learn the steps of the traditional dances Oro and Vrsuta from members of the Folklore Society Vila from Podgorica.
Join us as we present our tradition through dance, stories, and socializing!
Lecturers: Bojana Vujović and Milica Mijanović
The lecturers are Bojana Vujović and Milica Mijanović, long-time folk dancers, as well as the artistic directors of the Folklore Ensemble Vila from Podgorica – Nemanja Madžgalj and Mileta Bulatović.
